Terms of sale and license

These terms apply when you buy or use Annotation Ops Kit (the "kit"): the spreadsheets, documents and templates sold on this site, plus the free online calculator. By buying or downloading the kit you agree to them.
Who you're buying from
Annotation Ops Kit is a small independent publisher that sells under its brand name. Orders are processed by Gumroad, which handles payment, any sales tax or VAT, and receipts. Gumroad's terms also apply to the purchase. Prices are one-time payments in US dollars, shown on the pricing section.
License
When you buy the kit, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the files. You don't buy the copyright, which stays with Annotation Ops Kit.
- Single-user license (QA Core $99, Ops Kit $199): for use by one person inside your organization.
- Team license (Ops Kit + Team $299): up to 10 people at one company may use and edit the files internally.
Under either license you may copy, edit and adapt the files for your own internal work, and you may share the results you produce with them (for example a filled-in QA report or vendor scorecard) with your colleagues, vendors and clients.
What you may not do
- Resell, sublicense or redistribute the kit or any file in it, whether edited or not.
- Post the files, or templates built from them, publicly or in any shared template library.
- Share the files with people outside the number of people your license covers. If more people need them, buy another license or the team license.
Free calculator
The online calculator is free to use for your own work. Please link to this site rather than copying it.
Delivery
After checkout, Gumroad emails you a receipt with a link to download your zip. It contains the .xlsx and .docx files and a README. If something doesn't arrive or doesn't open, contact us through your Gumroad receipt and we'll fix it.
Refunds
Not useful? Within 14 days of purchase, contact us through your Gumroad receipt for a full refund, no questions asked. Refunds are paid back through Gumroad to your original payment method. After a refund, the license ends and you should delete your copies of the files.
No warranty
The kit is provided "as is". We work to make the formulas and templates correct, but we don't guarantee that they are error-free or fit for every purpose. You are responsible for checking results before you rely on them, including any decisions about vendors, contracts or data quality. The example data in the files is fictional. The kit is not legal, procurement or statistical advice.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about the kit is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits or data.
Not affiliated
Annotation Ops Kit is vendor-neutral. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or paid by any labeling vendor or platform. Any third-party product names are used only to describe or compare.
Changes
We may update these terms. The version on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
